You Oughta Know About Alanis’ Sense of Humour (the extra “u” is for “Canadian”)
The Trash Talkers have often thought that Alanis Morrisette takes herself a little too seriously. For every “is she perverted like me/would she go down on you in a theatre” bit of brilliance, there also exists a “like a black fly in your chardonnay” piece of non-irony. (Unless, of course, the irony is that nothing in that song is actually ironic and that by being a bad song about irony it actually becomes a good, ironic song. I just now figured that out.)
But then the Trash Talkers saw this, and it all changed.
That right there, a cover version of the Black Eyed Peas’ “My Humps,” makes up for every “Thank U,” every “Hands Clean,” and every “Hand in My Pocket” and proves to the Trash Talkers that not only does Alanis have a sense or humor, she has a sense of humor about herself. And for that, Alanis, you make it into the Trashy Celebs official Big Bucket of Awesome.

That is awesome. Thanks for posting it! In a way, it kind of works as a slow song

I love this video! I saw it on YouTube earlier today and am definitely going to feature it on YouTube Digger. It shows she has got a sense of humour and isn’t afraid to laugh at herself, when for years I saw her as serious, and too ‘up her own arse’ for my liking.
I love your comments about ‘Ironic’… so so true
