Rebecca De Mornay Busted For DUI
Risky Business star Rebecca De Mornay was arrested on Oct. 30 by Beverly Hills police. TMZ reports that the cops pulled over De Mornay for an unknown traffic violation and they “immediately detected an odor of alcoholic beverages.” De Mornay then failed several field sobriety tests, police say, and her blood alcohol level was .09. She was taken into custody, cited and released.
The fact that this happened last Tuesday (a full week ago) and we are just hearing about this now tells you everything you need to know about the state of Rebecca De Mornay’s career. I know she was considered All That back when she had sex with Tom Cruise on a train in Risky Business (which I have never seen because I don’t need to see Cruise dancing in his underwear ever again) and then she went on to make The Hand Who Rocks the Cradle which I did see but don’t remember a damn thing about. She’s apparently done a ton of other stuff, but I’ve never heard of most of it. She apparently even had a role in Wedding Crashers but I sure don’t remember what it was.
I’m honestly a bit surprised by this. I thought De Morney was a lot more famous than she apparently is. Why did I think that? Was she married to someone famous? Could it be because she played “Sara” in the Jefferson Starship video of the same name?
It can’t be because she was once with Leonard Cohen, because no one cares about that and not because she lived with Tom Cruise because she is not Katie Holmes and no one cares if she was being brainwashed. I honestly can’t figure out why it is that I thought Rebecca De Morney was so famous. Maybe I just had her confused with an Arquette.

I totally get her and Rosanna Arquette confused. I think they’re cut from the same shrinky-dink mold.
