Remember A Different World that spinoff show from The Cosby Show that was supposedly a vehicle for Lisa Bonet even though she later got knocked up and kicked off the show? “Member?

Well do you remember Whitley, the annoying rich girl who verbally sparred with Denise (Lisa Bonet) and
eventually won the heart of and married Dwayne Wayne, the geek turned cool guy. ‘Member?

Remember how Whitley was played by actress Jasmine Guy, who went on to a successful recording career that I wasn’t even aware of until I was looking for those videos? ‘Member?

‘Member? ‘Member all that? No?

Well, she got divorced.

    Hey! Jasmine Guy played a very convincing ex-dancer who got strangled by someone stealing her leg-warmer concept well before “Flashdance” popularized both leg warmers and off-the-shoulder sweatshirts. then she becomes this reaper of souls who eventually takes on the day job of police officer and shoots while she reaps.

    JASMINE GUY ROCKS.

    pls watch “Dead Like Me”, Season I and II, particularly after Pushing Daisies (but before Wonderfalls)

    you’d both love the humor. Plus Dead Like Me Season II has this incredible episode where this transgendered guy yells at god in a church & transcends to the afterlife as a woman all while this incredible song is playing by my new and favorite musician, whats-her-name.
