Since there’s just not a whole lot going on in the world of celeb gossip, it’s time for a couple of pimped out videos. First up is a scene from Tuesday’s A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila. If you’re not watching this show you are missing out my friends. Tila Tequila is famous for being famous a’la showing some flesh on myspace thus getting an MTV reality show. On A Shot at Love, contestants battle it out for Tila’s attention. The catch is Tila declared she’s “a bisexual” thus half the contestants are male and half are female. Even from the beginning I spotted two or three actual lesbians on the female team and somehow one of the three finalist is one of said Lesbos.

Anyway on Tuesday’s show, Tila went to visit the remaining contestant’s families and preformed a lap dance for cute and dykey Dani’s grandma. See it and believe it.

My cousin, who is also a fan of bad reality television told me over thanksgiving dinner that she is also a fan of this show. So now I don’t feel so bad watching it since she just got into Phi Beta Kappa national honor society. My tastes are now validated, thanks Tova!

Also in our internet travels of the day we discovered this amazing new video from Snoop Dogg. It’s like the videos for Little Red Corvette and I Ran So Far Away had a gang bang with 1983 and the Japanese chairman of Iron Chef. Hot!

Excuse me, I’m now in the mood to make whoopie so I must be leaving this post prematurely.

Thanks to the current writer’s strike there’s just not much going on in New York, Hollywood and those middle parts of the entertainment country of the world. So therefore we must turn inward to reflect on a time when Nell Carter was givin’ us all a break, Punky Brewster hadn’t yet shown cleavage online and Bea Arthur looked like she was playing middle linebacker for the Buffalo Bills. Legendary performer Robert Goulet passed away yesterday while awaiting a lung transplant in Los Angeles. The singer was 73. The Massachusetts-born Goulet, who spent much of his youth in Canada, gained stardom in 1960 with “Camelot,” the Lerner and Loewe musical that starred Richard Burton as King Arthur and Julie Andrews as his Queen Guinevere.

Goulet played Sir Lancelot, the arrogant French knight who falls in love with Guinevere.

He became a hit with American TV viewers with appearances on “The Ed Sullivan Show” and other programs. Sullivan labeled him the “American baritone from Canada,” where he had already been a popular star in the 1950s, hosting his own show called “General Electric’s Showtime.”

Goulet is best known for his loungey baritone act but we best remember him from Will Ferrel’s impressions of him on Saturday Night Live. The sketch was no Janet Reno Dance Party but we like to think Goulet was highly amused by Ferrel’s impression of him.

Ok, Britney Spears hasn’t had the best week ever. She’s lost custody of the tots to baby daddy K-Fed, been spied driven’ when she shouldn’t be and has been kicked out of the restaurant at Chateau Marmont. That’s up there in a week of total suckyness. But there’s one thing in her life that doesn’t seem to be sucking and that’s the reason she’s famous - her music.

Sure her tunes aren’t works of great depth and reflection but us here at Trashy Celebs and a lot of other folks think her new single Gimmie More is banging! The video (minus the MTV Video Music Awards train wreck) should be coming soon, but until then check out the song itself.

And it’s not just us that love the song. Gimme More landed in the No. 1 position on Billboard’s Hot Digital Songs chart, having sold 179,000 downloads in its first week of release. That helped the song rocket up Billboard’s Hot 100 this week, jumping 65 slots to land at No. 3 on the overall pop chart, which includes digital downloads, CD sales and radio airplay. It’s also the number one downloaded song on iTunes, go figure.

However this jump isn’t a signal that Brit-Brit is totally back. According to Billboard’s associate director of charts Silvio Pietroluongo, it’s not uncommon for a single to move into the Top 10 on its Hot 100 based on digital sales alone.

So this isn’t Spear’s Umbrella, ella, ella, ay-ay which sold 277,000 copies in its debut week thanks to the beautiful Rihanna. But still Gimmie More is getting airplay on Top-40 stations, where it’s consistently been one of the top-15 performing songs. And it’s also Britney’s best showing on the Billboard chart since her breakthrough song, Baby One More Time, hit No. 1 in January 1999 (although that was back in the dark ages when digital sales weren’t measured).

So perk up Britney, stick to cabs and places that you aren’t banned from and maybe your career still has a chance.

First Ugly Betty, now Dirty, Sexy, Money. The new ABC show will feature famed transsexual actress Candis Cayne in a reoccurring role. Cayne plays Carmelita, a transsexual who is having a affair with married US Senator Patrick Darling (played by William Baldwin), who believes that this relationship with Carmelita could hurt his chances of becoming the next President of the United States. Based on casting of Billy Baldwin as a senator leads us to believe this show is a comedy. But anyway, kudos to Cayne who was born Brendan McDaniel and began transitioning in 1996.

If DSM proves to be a hit, we’ve learned of some additional shows in development at ABC featuring transsexual men and women.

Everybody Loves Ronald - The craziness never stops for successful weatherman Ronald Namone, whose oddball family life consists of a fed up wife, two goofy step kids and some nosey neighbors. Hilarity ensues when Ronald reveals he was not only born a woman (Rachael Nussbaum) but is also Jewish to boot.

Webster - Updated for the new millennium from the classic 80’s sitcom. The post-retirement season is suddenly disrupted for ex-football player George and his wife Katherine when Webster, the orphaned transgendered son of a former teammate, moves in. Laughter, life lessons and plenty of workin’ it in every episode.

Two Half Men - An uptight male to female chiropractor (Alissa) who recently had gender reassignment surgery moves in with her pre-opp female to male sister (Charlie). Will Charlie every pick a surgery date and will Alissa ever stop nagging about the dishes in the sink? Tune in to find out.

People magazine is reporting that Comcast cable in the great (big) state of Texas (or Houston, to be more precise) is refusing to air an ad for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) featuring actress Alicia Silverstone, despite the fact that the ads have already been paid for.

PETA claims that Houston was chosen because it often ranks high on lists of cities with the worst eating habits. So why did Comcast pull the commercial?

A spokesperson for the cable company cited nudity in their decision to cancel the campaign, though the clips had already been paid for.

Now I am not a vegetarian, but ads like this can certainly make me consider it, even if it’s just for the 30 seconds that it airs (and as long as it’s not dinnertime.)

Yowza! Silverstone looks great. If I actually thought I could look like that if I gave up the occasional cheeseburger or steak, I just might give it a shot. In the meantime, I think I’ll call out for a pepperoni pizza and rent Clueless again.

Since we’re still in a bit of a post-Emmys hangover, check out this footage of Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliott beyond tipsy on the set of Lil’ Kim’s new video No Matter What They Say.

No, it wasn’t the Belvedere playing tricks on her but her own personal palette of champagne. We’re not sure if Missy is wasted from chugging the bubbly or she has vertigo from watching this footage. But it is nice to see a celebrity being a fun mess vs. the sad, sad messes we’ve bared witness to so recently.

Larry Wochowski has taken the red pill, or is it the blue pill? Whatever, half of the brother directing team that brought us The Matrix is a lot closer to completing his transition into a woman. Now known as Lana, the directing sibs made a rare public appearance.

According to Rated-M,

The duo will now just be known as “The Wachowskis”, dropping the “brothers” part of their name. It is expected that Larry, now called Lana, will actually speak to the press about this for the first time, but not until after the Speed Racer film is out. The current feeling is that his sex change could hurt the family image the Speed Racer film is going for.

It is also expected that Andy will do all the press for the Speed Racer film, with Larry/Lana staying in the background for the above reason.

Dateline NBC is still rumored to have exclusivity of Larry/Lana’s first public interview, but it has to be on his terms, not theirs.

Well I don’t know about you, but here at Trashy Celebs we think this is fan-fucking-tabulous. We hope this high-profile woman will help other trans-people to have the courage to be who they are and to not be intimidated by ignorance and prejudice. We also hope that we can still call them Trannies cause we just like saying that.

Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears and his boyfriend, a Yale art student known only as “Chris” are engaged, according to the Sunday Mirror as reported on GaySocialites.com.

Okay, so we’ve all seen “Lazy Sunday,” “Roy Rules,” “Dick in a Box” and that one with Natalie Portman rapping. But I think the following is one of the most underrated and most overlooked of the SNL Digital Shorts: “Andy Pops Into Frame.”

Personally, I just find this hysterical, from the yellow t-shirt that says “ANDY,” to Will Forte’s goofy grin, to that moment when Samberg pulls the gun and forces Forte out of the frame. And that little piece of music that gets into your brain for days. I wonder if it was written specifically for this short?

Anyway, good stuff. Watch it ten or twenty times — you won’t regret it!
